It is good in relation to what you are trying to do with your server. It is still a solid processor, but my question is what you would be planning to use the dedi for that may warrant a more modern option?
It's just some websites that are mostly serving media, with some light php/mysql usage. We need the bandwidth and disk space, but the sites are not cpu intensive. I'm just worried about how slow this processor is, being that old. Right now the server we are running has one X3450.

You may be pushing it a bit with the Xeon E5310. It probably COULD do it. But there are much better options available out there for the same price. James is right the Xeon E5310 can do it without much stress but there is much better value available at the same price out there.
