Its different for every forum... i think on this one you can change it once you get past 500 posts?

People used to be able to change their title (custom title) once they reached 500 posts, but that's no longer possible. I don't know all of the reasons; but I think it might have had something to do with some folks posting a lot of useless or one-liner posts just to increase their post count.
Giving users the ability to customise their title after a certain number of posts (the admin sets the threshold) is a feature in several forum packages.☷ Lesli Schauf, TLM Network

The title can still be changed, you just have to email the moderators after you get 500 posts (I think).

They should put it back in our hands though. IMO
It's no different than us being able to change our signatures or our Home Page link.

I agree. Plain silly. (Not that I am even close to 500 posts.) Why punish everyone because of a few bad apples? It's not that hard to control is it? Members found to abuse this privealage would be moved to a WHT created "user group" that does not allow the offending member to use a custom user title or profile. This is standard builtin Vbulletin options.

And, actually, I remember changing mine when I first could. But, I eventually just went back to default.
I don't even want to change it now. I just want the ability to. It's just silly to take it out of our hands. There is no best host. There is only the host that's best for you.

You can email them.... but yeah, it should be allowed in the profile. Just up it to 1000 - 2000 posts if people posting none sense is the problem.
Last I recall, that's why it was removed anyways... or people advertising in it, which they could just be reported ...What does one host say to the other? "(HostA) Want to go see a movie?" "(HostB) Sure, can your parents drive?"
I'm premium, and no, I did not have to pay $6 a month to figure that out.

Heh, actually, that wouldn't suprise me ....
They just need to make up their minds about things .... seems every month something is changing. What does one host say to the other? "(HostA) Want to go see a movie?" "(HostB) Sure, can your parents drive?"

And that seems to be what frustrates members the most.

Not even that stuff changes, it is that it changes without telling us, or asking us if we want it! Afterall... without us... there is no board...

Forum owners are not required to tell members anything but a forum is supposed to be a "community." WHT defintely lacks in the communication department and one must wonder what their true goal or motive is.
