Why do some threads have signatures removed?
I've noticed that in quite a few threads, everyone's signature has been removed. What is the reasoning behind this?

Perhaps sometimes it isn't appropriate to include your signature, so you might choose to not include it when making a reply.

To avoid spam especially if we notice that all posts in such thread is just to show their signature without giving much help in that thread.

There are also some forums that have signatures disabled by default, like the service outages forum. It prevents other companies from going in there for the sole purpose of spamming their signature.
