100's of sendmail processes

I just noticed a server load 400% increase. I just ran ps aux and noticed about 100 sendmail processes. I'm guessing someone has gotten hold of some sort of cgi script?

*FIXED* Sendmail went crazy. All fixed

dbbrock1, could you tell us what went wrong? I had the same problem a while back, it did stop after a while but still am wondering why it happened.

It's highly lightly to be a spammer. Or perhaps you may have a client who sends out high volume newsletters. Check what is being sent.

It was just a sendmail issue. I rebooted, everything is now normal.
