    Thread closing binge

Akash, are you getting carried away or what? I mean, don't get me wrong, this place needs more moderation. But you just close threads so no-one can comment on what you say.

The ones I've closed today are(and can remember closing)

    1) Involving post counts, one thread on the same exact subject is enough i think
    http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...hreadid=128341
    http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...hreadid=128106

    2) Should have been emailed to mods instead of starting a new thread about it
    http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...hreadid=128157
http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...hreadid=128223 edit: going back i can see where this can still be discussed, so i've re-opened it - my mistake.

3)resorted to childish name calling and was headed in the wrong direction AND the posts that were made, should have been off forums
    http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...hreadid=128102
there was one more - or maybe it was yesterday

4)Done so that the posts aren't edited, and will be reopened tomorrow.

If you can find me a thread that is closed and I mistakenly closed it (it's happened to me twice already) feel free to post it here and I'll reopen it.

The problem with the vb thread admin is that the "close drop down option thingie" is right above the "move thread drop down option thingie" so i may inadvertently click the wrong one and not realize it right away, then go back to move it, and forget to open it again - if that makes sense...

edit: let's not forget that chicken is gone( ), and without teck or kunal online too much, I am unfortunately the only one that is on during the US hours - matt was on this morning, and i talked to xtstrike for a bit this morning also. so in some cases it may appear that "I" am the only one that's closing the threads - but only because other than Patrick (who, unlike me, has a real job ) , there aren't really any active mods on our side of the world....

is that the one you'd like re-opened? edit: reopened.

Ok out of the 200+ threads started today, I closed only 8, two of them wrongly closed - reopened. Please accept my apologies and have a

That's OK Akash! Anyone makes misstakes. Drop-down thingies can be a hassle if they're too close. Still you.
