They're good. I know many people who use them for e-tail and off-line processing.

I'm interested to hear as well...from what i've heard from other people, Echo-inc's been in business for the last 8 years.
We are currently using Revecom and we're looking into either echo-inc or planetpayment for manually processing CC's using the Virtual terminal processing.
Kunal, i'll call them tomorrow to see what's up.
cheers,
elijah john

cool.. let me know how it goes...
im with revecom too.. but i was looking for a lil more flexibility...
i found planetpayment to be a lil steap for my use .. echo-inc prices are the cheapest ive seen.. plus the advantage of no charge for the first five chargebacks

I don't think Echo is too great with email response times, their toll-free # is good though.
Just giving you some info on them:
GREAT prices, no gateway fee etc...
But they provide you with NO cgi scripting or ways to charge customers, you have to buy one. You are not aloowed to charge for a service in more then monthly increments... if you do they will cut you off.
Those are the two main drawbacks, and are enough to get me not to signup.
I'd have to recommend ezmerchantaccounts.com
They seem very good with their Authorize.net gateway.

Kunal, they were having problems with their email system and the lady told me awhile ago that she'll answer your email a.s.a.p
Also, the technical support fee of $10 per month is actually a statement fee.
cheers,
elijah john

I too like their rates! I have not seen anything this cheap before, surprised more people are not using them. I figure it's because of their lack of cgi scripts or real-time gateway script support. Wish there were more developers involved, or a site with ability to purchase gateway script for real-time processing. I did see they had a link to a gateway which charges 10.00 a month for this service.
If your not going to be using online verification (in real time) then they would work fine, they have a online panel where card numbers can be entered for processing, the ECHONET Service gateway. Most businesses would be fine working this way.
I wish the new WebHost Panel at Burst, when it comes out with (Billing Support) would integrate their service, this is one low cost CC processor!

I also found this for anyone interested
I love google!
I found a good link here for anyone interested. It's an open source developers site for ECHO-INC CC processing. Developer support forums, source code downloads for many different methods of connecting and more. Take a look.

I'd go with them except they refuse to allow anything more then monthly billing. So I couldn't offer an annual plan... and if I did... I would have to bill them 12 times. They do this to avoid businesses charging people for 12 months, and then quiting while leaving the customer stranded and to do a chargeback.
WHNBilling decided not to support them because of that.

Yikes!
Yes, I'd say thats a pretty stiff rule, never seen that one before. That would throw a monkey wrench in the spokes here too.
