Should we wait before trying this on a live server? I have a hobby site running in a rather small VPS that gets a decent amount of visitors and may try it. What concerns me is security issues coming up in the first few weeks.

Doesn't so much apply to litespeedtech enterprise, but you get the idea.
Never occurred to me it made much of a difference. That's making me want to do some tests myself

This is why the Apache documentation says that ".htaccess files should be avoided when possible." (In the .htaccess tutorial.)

Not much you can do if you're running a control panel, though...

    The link should be

    wget http://open.litespeedtech.com/packag...espeed.1.0.tgz

    Cheers!

Thanks. I never noticed until now. The instructions pointed to litespeedtech.com instead of open.litespeedtech.com

  8. #33
Well then, that's got to get changed. Perhaps it's a bad sign that nobody reported that until now... (The link on the OpenLiteSpeed site worked, though...)

Sorry if it's obvious, but does this work with cpanel+whm, directadmin, etc.? Wasn't sure if "hosting control panel compatibility" meant something such as whmcs instead.

Nope. "Hosting control panel" means cPanel, DirectAdmin, Plesk, etc...
