What do you think this domain name is worth...?

Hi,

I have a nice 4-letter domain name that I bought with the intention of developing an SMS messaging application. Thus far I haven't had the time I would have liked to devote to it, so I'm thinking of advertising the domain name for sale.

The domain is: txtz.com

What are your opinions on what this is worth? I have seen lots of sites offering valuations and reports for a fee, but from what I've heard these sorts of valuations aren't really accurate in today's market.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. If you'd like to make an offer, feel free to post that here also.

appraisal request should go into the domain names section.
i would put a price tag of about $30-40 on it and would in fact consider buying it at that price.

I'm quite new to this forum and wasn't aware there was a domain names section.

Apologies if this is in the wrong place [Note to Ed: feel free to move this to the right area]

I would say the domain to general public is $25-$35
If you develop it maybe on traffic you can get $500-$750

If the buyer is targetted towards domain maybe upto a $1000

Best bet is to develop it. Good luck!

OK, thanks people. I think I'll stick with my original idea then and keep it for my SMS site.

Actually, it really depends on every person on case by case basis.
To some people, it may worth hundreds or thousands if they really wants it.
Where some others, they may not want it even if you gave them for free.
But anyway, good luck in finding a good buyer.
