Nocster blowout (from $57/month) 10mbps $400/month

Well, I'm sure most people are aware of the problems that Burst.net and Nocster have been having the last few months, thats in part why I'm making this offer. I want to help grow their customer base out a little bit, and hopefully that will help them allocate their funds to improve service. I'm offering these servers at very close to my cost for them. Why? I'm not interested in making the money on it, I'm interested in improving the service of Nocster and Burst by getting them more customers. It's a gamble, but it's also a chance for someone to pick up some really cheap servers. Here it goes.

Server 1
CPU: Intel Celeron 400mhz
RAM: 256mb SDRAM
HD: 20gb IDE
Bandwidth: 300gb/per month
IP Addresses: 5 included
OS: Redhat 7.3
Setup fee: $90 (normally 99.95)
Monthly Fee: $57 (normally $69.95)
CPanel monthly fee: $17 (normally $19.95)

Server 2
CPU: Intel Pentium III 800mhz
RAM: 256mb SDRAM
HD: 40gb IDE
Bandwidth: 300gb/per month
IP Addresses: 5 included
OS: Redhat 7.3
Setup Fee: $90 (normally 99.95)
Monthly Fee: $75 (normally 89.95)
CPanel monthly fee: $17 (normally $19.95)

Server 3
CPU: Intel Celeron 1ghz
RAM: 512mb SDRAM
HD: 60gb IDE
Bandwidth: 10mbps unmetered connection
IP Addresses: 5 included
OS: Redhat 7.3
Setup Fee: $245 (normally $299.95)
Monthly Fee: $400 (normally $499.95)
CPanel monthly fee: $17 (normally $19.95)

All servers are subject to availiblity and setup times. If you see a server on www.nocster.net that we do not have listed here, feel free to contact us! We'll work out a very low price with you. Also, all of the services offered via nocster, are also highly discounted. As always, don't hesistate to ask questions in this thread or via PM or AIM. We accept payment via Paypal or Credit Card (new!). Thanks for looking.

It's a commendable action, but the problem is Nocster/Burst did not think about their business plan, they just thought about outdoing RackShack and went headfirst. They've dug themselves into a hole and they've got no-one else to blame. At the moment their staff are completely whacked out dealing with what they have. The problem is they just don't have the man power to handle the influx of clients they have, all due to the lack of a proper business model. Trying to be the cheapest never works. Signing them up with more servers is only going to increase the problem. Instead resellers should offer complete managed support, not Nocster, that would free them up a bit.

Hmm, interesting idea. I'll throw in whatever support I can do too...clients would email me/submit a ticket with me first, and I would take care of it myself. If unable, I will forward to Burst/Nocster.

Sorry, it didn't send me an email that the thread had been updated, otherwise I would have been more than happy to reply

What do you mean by uptime? The box is at 6 days right now, rebooted from a kernel upgrade for security patches. (By the box I mean one that I own right now)

NETWORK uptime for nocster is < 1 day. It has been like this for a week or better now. I'd highly suggest going with a real provider, not someone who reboots their routers multiple times dailly (most times 2-3x a day).

Right. And for the benefit of everyone else, I have setup the Alertra monitoring on one of the servers there, so we can track the uptime for a while. I will of course post this information once it becomes valid.

As long as they prohibit legal adult content I won't touch them. They should consider that too during their restructure
