Unhappy

Copying Account Problems in CPanel


Im trying to copy one account from server to server and I get this error message:

"Tarball copy ok!
Extracting tarball....Done
Extracting Domain....Done
Sorry, the copy failed. Unable to find the cpanel user file

Account Restore Failed..."

Anybody know what I can do about this??????

hey, i got the same error like that. Where did you copy the account from? My client is from VO.

What is the CPanel version are you using?

Not sure what your first question is refering too?

Cpanel 6 on both servers...

Did you ever get the problems sovled?

I got this Error also once, i was told It was because of the Backend Script of the other Server.

This might be the problem...

I thought it copied the file to a tmp directory? Maybe that is not big enough? This is a guess.

Im not sure...I just went the pain in the arse way and downloaded the account then reuploaded it...Everything is working just fine now...

Whenever we have had this problem it has been because the tarball takes the account on the old server over the alloted disc space.

for instance, the user is allowed 100Mb space, they have used up 80Mb of it, when it tars it up it takes it over the 100Mb, and therefore doesnt get a lot of stuff in the tarball.

To get around this, increase the space allowance on the old server for each account. Should work fine then.
