can i modify the partition size of my linux software raid 10 ?

    Hi,

i use mdadm to do raid10 on my cloudlinux server with cpanel,

i feel the /tmp is too small,

i think to move some space from /home to /tmp on my production server,

    is it possible ?

    thanx

Are /home and /tmp located on mdadm partitions? Do they correspond to different physical partitions on disks (e.g. /dev/md0 is /dev/sda1 and /dev/sdb1. /dev/md1 is /dev/sda2 and /dev/sdb2)?

Can you just make a new set of physical partitions and mdadm partitions (if there's free space)?

Or, as this is cPanel, is /tmp actually pointing to something like /usr/tmpDSK? You could just create a new tmpDSK using dd, initialise the filesystem using mkfs.ext3 and then rename it.

You can use third party softwares like GParted LiveCD or PartedMagic LiveCD to resize the partitions of your linux server.
