Help setting up e-commerce site

I don't know if these are the right section to post in but...

I am trying to move away from eBay and set up an online store of my own. I am thinking of using Interchange (http://www.icdevgroup.org/index.html) for the shopping cart, a secure line, and one of the cheaper merchant accounts (any suggestions?). Is there anything wrong with this setup? Thank you

Interchange is a excellent choice in shopping cart software. I highly recommend it. It isn't completely newbie friendly in it's setup, but there aren't many more robust commerce packages on the market, free or paid.

osCommerce is another excellent alternative. It is more user-friendly and easier to setup, but doesn't offer quite as much, but it's close.

Ya, get OSCommerce - you answer 20 questions about your server and it installs immediately no coding involved. New modules for it are added all the time because they have many programmers working on it. I love open sourcing

If you are not expecting huge volumes, you can consider 3rd party processors like 2checkout or Paysystems. They are both not bad and some like Paysystems has been around for years. There are also modules to integrate them into OScommerce payment flow. All these should help you come up with a complete system.
