    Yahoo Webhosting Upload Issues?

For two days now, I am having issues uploading updates to my yahoo webhosting account website built with yahoo sitebuilder. Never had any issue before for as long as I have had my website (almost one year). Nothing has changed on my equipment (new proggies, server (DSL), etc etc). Anyone else experiencing this problem? This is more than just an annoyance, believe me! (BTW: All the help suggestions related to this issue posted by yahoo do not work, customer service has yet to respond..;-))) Thanks for any input.

I really doubt anyone here has working experience with Yahoo hosting.

Changes on your personal computing equipment would effect how Yahoo operates.

Though perhaps you need Flash or something on to render in your borwser as you mentioned some sort of "site builder"

Download Google Chrome and see if it works for you: https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/

Tangent: Never hear of anyone descripe programs as "proggies" =) Almost sounds like a bad sandwich.

    I do.

To call Yahoo incompetent would almost be giving them too much credit. For starters, their systems tend to run on aged, un-updated services. They may as well put a "hack me" sign at the server welcome message.

Tech support is pretty much MIA, and you get canned responses when they do.

There appear to be no backups of anything. When a server hiccups, "oops, sorry" is about all you'll get from them. I had to manually repair a phpBB database a few years ago, after Yahoo's server ate the site. (Not my site. I know better than to use Yahoo by choice.)

Yahoo servers are also horribly slow.

    Move to a better host.

Hell, even Godaddy is better than Yahoo! That's saying something!

Did you try contacting yahoo directly about this?

PS. What is the deal with the poll?

    kpmedia is absolutely right.

As far as experience, I built my first website on geocities (probably the same boxes they're selling hosting on now). It wasn't bad for free in the 90's. My second one was built on angelfire (and is still there).

And yes support is non existent.

My advice like everyone else, get a real host.
