Question

Best dedicated server?

I am looking for the best "premium" dedicated server for under $200. So far I have come up with dellhost, do you have any suggestions?

Thank you.

Doesn't really matter, as long as it is from a 'bigname' provider. Interland didn't look so bad, any thoughts on them?

Avoid interland like the plague, I am with them (dialtone) and thinking off moving. Do a search and see what I mean.

keep in mind dellhost isn't run by dell and doesn't have the best of reputations...

Does dellhost just resell or rebrand another provider's service?

Can you point me at some of those reputation links?

I am interested in a short list of quality managed-server hosts, and had assumed dellhost would be on it.

I dont understand how dellhost is even in business.. I'd have expected dell to sue them by now.

Sue whom? Is dellhost a separate entity? It looks like it is rebranding Interland, except they use Dell hardware instead of IBM?

I would have expected Dell to do something about "dellhost" considering that they're not in any way related to Dell the computer/server vendors. It's a blatent lean on their lame to borrow their credability, popularity, etc.

What would you expect to happen if I were to start "microsofthosting.com"...... Think 'ol Billy would let that one slip? We could use Microsoft Windows NT servers, but I dont think that counts for two turds on a log, it's still borrowing off their name, and I'd expect to be sued for doing that to say the least.

I would have to say Rackshack to be one of the best dedicated providers.

Very fast network/servers.

Why, Dellhost was started by Dell and Interland (or Interliant). They sold the company and name to Sprint. Why would Dell sue?
