wall commands in ssh do they get logged ?


Hello we had a few complaints today about ssh users and the wall messages they are sending on one of our boxes, Are these mesages loged in var by chance ?

Anyone seen this at all ?

Depending on how your syslog is configured it may be in /var/log/messages. You can check /etc/syslog.conf to see if and where it would write the messages. wall uses the facility user and the priority info. Do a man syslog.conf for more info.
