    Google [Design Issue]

Which idiot decided that having two navigation menus right on top of each other was a good idea? LOL

I never was a fan of that black navbar. My search view has the second nav on the side though, not like yours.

I kinda like it like that. One is for the google network - the second is specific to search.

No, I agree with this, it's a design flaw when they both display pretty much the same buttons/optoins

You would think a company like Google would be all about a simple design and navigation...not the opposite being over redundant.

Me too. I wonder if that second navigation is positioned location-wise (or country-specific). It makes good sense to me that the top black is for different Google "properties", while the white side is for filtering search results.

It's probably more technical I think the top black bar is a universal bar across all of their products. And the second menu is for search specific.

Personally I rather they stick with either a vertical or horizontal menu and stop changing it lol

The top one is a persistent google app* bar. I thought the other one was just in non-chrome browsers, but I actually don't get the bottom bar at all in chrome or water fox.

Is there a setting in preferences that disables the second bar on bottom?

They already have search options on the left hand side. This new menu is not needed. Many of these are simply buttons that are on top. Hey, Google. If you want to do split testing to see which menu works better, do it better! LOL

Yes, but the search specific navigation shows up on the left column for me.
