Check out Ramnode.com - their 2 GB plan costs $24.

And when using coupon their 2GB plan costs $20.40 which is pretty good from a customer point of view (and makes non-sense from a business standpoint) however it's a new company with less than 2 months on the market so not an option for me. Quoting my first post:

Based on what information, or are you just making a baseless statement?

Good luck finding a host that not have offers, here at WHT, or other places.
FutureHosting.com, TmzVPS.com, soladrive.com, SolarVPS.com is all reputable and well known but without any coupon, you will most likely not get a server with 2 GB RAM within your budget.

RamNode is new but we've been hosting VPSs for over a year now through another project in case that matters.
Out of curiosity, why is Virtuozzo acceptable but OpenVZ is not?

Moderator foobic said here that OpenVZ isn't reliable because when you run "free -m" it doesn't show your real memory usage.
Also he said this: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showpo...40&postcount=2
Also a member said here that even when your provider gives you 2GB of guaranteed ram even if you're not using 2gb you could have memory problems due to /proc/user_beancounters
so this is way i think that virtuozzo is better because when you run "free -m" on virtuozzo you get your real memory usage

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that only applies to OpenVZ on RHEL 5. Several hosts, including ourselves, run it on RHEL 6, which uses VSwap instead of the Burst setup: http://wiki.openvz.org/VSwap
I'm not personally aware of all the differences between Virtuozzo and OpenVZ, but it's worth noting that the former is built upon the latter. I would imagine most people who don't want OpenVZ will also avoid Virtuozzo. But again, someone feel free to correct me in this area.

Ok. Virtuozzo offers SLM memory management as an alternative to UBC, and almost every provider uses it. The free / top figures produced in VZ-SLM are artificial like UBC (no swap or cache) but unlike UBC, the usage figures represent real usage not allocated memory (they're derived from oomguarpages held plus kmemsize held, whereas UBC figures are based on privvmpages held). As a result identical systems appear to use a lot less memory under VZ-SLM than under OpenVZ-UBC.
That, plus freedom from the fear of tripping over any of the myriad other UBC limits, makes Virtuozzo-SLM much more attractive for the end user than OpenVZ-UBC.

I suggest you Hudson Valley Hosting, just because I think their support is enough fast and still good.
