It is not required but it really depends on your budget. Also, if you want room to expand and you plan to expand soon then yes we would recommend a dedicated server. But in some cases it may be better to get say 10GB or another custom amount of RAM.

With a dedicated server you would have less restrictions as to what you could do, for example you could run a VoIP server or create sub-servers with any amount of RAM that you want to allocate.
