After four years of sleeping next to a laptop, I'm burnt-out and ready to move on with other jobs and business ideas. So here's a chance from someone to take over an established company with solid a client base. Over the last month I've been slowly liquidating and streamlining my company and have sold off my VPS division and about 70% of my shared hosting clients. What's left is the following:
- The company brand, domain names, and site.
- ~254 shared hosting clients on DirectAdmin
- 10 of those clients are on quarterly plans ($10/quarter)
- 22 of those clients have lifetime accounts and pay nothing
- The rest of the clients are on yearly plans.
You can see a list of what each client pays here:
http://pastebin.com/qEevuWRs
TOTAL ESTIMATED YEARLY INCOME: $3,738.54
Clients renew their plans about 65% of the time. Payments are accepted via PayPal or credit card. 95% of payments are via PayPal and I do not allow subscriptions.
But that's not what you will really be buying... what you will really be getting is the full company, name, sites, etc... everything. Included domains:
- zensix.com
- zensix.net
- zensix.org
ZenSix is solid and has been in business since March of 2008. I've recently streamlined ZenSix to the point of almost no work and no monthly operating costs. All of the clients are on a single node from Datashack, which is sectioned off into four Open-VZ containers. One container runs the zensix.com main site and the other three containers run three shared hosting DirectAdmin servers (DA licenses are free), which has all of the clients sectioned off. Below is the total cost for everything ZenSix related:
- The zensix domains: normal renewal fees for a .com, .net, .org at Namecheap.
- DNS is hosted at dnsmadeeasy.com: $29.95/YEAR
- Dual Xeon 5420 w/ 8GB RAM: $109/MONTH
- I use curdbee.com for invoice renewals, but you'll probably use WHMCS.
The DirectAdmin servers do not host email services. They are automatically setup to create MX records for Google Hosted Apps and clients email is through it.
You'll get an average of one support ticket per day.
The server has a backup drive and rsync automatically backs up the DirectAdmin data each night from the active containers.
I do not use WHMCS. You'll simply get a spreadsheet of all user data and you can import it into whatever system you wish to use (first name, last name, email, and hosting account details). The ZenSix helpdesk is a simple custom system that I coded, feel free to ditch it for something else. The checkout system is equally as simple, but is almost never used, here's why:
Over the last eight months, I've only accepted new clients on about ten days out of those eight months. 99% of the time I have a waiting list up. This is because I don't have the time to deal with new clients, so I simply stopped accepting them. The waiting list has about 100 people on it.
The site itself gets anywhere from 50 to 500 unique visitors a day. It really just depends... I don't track stats that closely and have never done any real advertising. The site does get some Google traffic (again, not sure how much, I don't track it). It's #1 in Google for the keywords "directadmin shared hosting".
Now... for the important part...
TOTAL PRICE FOR THE ENTIRE BUSINESS: $5,000 (obo)
That's it. However, I will only sell to another hosting company and you *must* be based in the United States. You must be familiar with Open-VZ and DirectAdmin. You can continue the ZenSix brand, or not, it's up to you. Payment will *only* be accepted via escrow.com or you placing cash in my hands. No other payment methods accepted.
There are a lot more details that should be covered, but I'll only get into those details will potential buyers. If you are interested, PM me on here and we'll go from there. Include your current hosting business site (so I can review it) and remember, U.S. buyers only. And payment via escrow.com only.
