Company like Hetnzer.de & Kimsufi.co.uk?
Hello,
I'm looking for a "budget" host like Hetnzer.de and Kimsufi.co.uk to buy a dedicated server from. I would have gone with Hetzner.de, but im not sure i like there Terms of use.
So, a host with good harddware, they give the connection they promise, and have good support
Are there any EU based companys like them?

My experience
Europe + good support = costly
ovh ( kimsufi) have possibly the best support when it come to server crash but if you want a support then you need to wait around 8-24 hrs for a proper respondLast edited by prateek; 07-17-2012 at 05:59 AM.

Most budget data centers, outside of reboots, your pretty much on your own. server4you.net has good Germany prices too.

Consider a SSD for minecraft because of its high need for IOPS i will let other respond on better datacenter because i have nightmares with all 5 dc i have been with
if you want to go with this i will say try once with root.lu ( beware they don't provide 24*7 support ) but when they are online there response time is best ( consider getting a kvm when buying the server )Last edited by prateek; 07-17-2012 at 06:27 AM.

Have you considered going with someone on the east coast of the US instead? You can find some very nice E3v2s with SSDs from east coast providers like ReliableSite, ColoCrossing, etc.--all of which should have great pings to the EU.
But if your budget only allows for a budget host, you will probably have to pick OVH or Hetzner.██ RamNode - High Performance Cloud VPS

Note that there is a difference in support and sla between ovh and kimsufi, even though they're owned by the same company. Personally, I find hetzner support quite good for the price they charge, during daytime you usually get replies within a couple of minutes. If you are hosting mission critical data, or are not that good with servers yourself you might want to look at other providers though. But that should be quite obvious given the prices they charge.
Also watch out with SSDs some companies offer, especially if they don't mention a model. There are quite a few SSDs that are slower than most modern hard drives (especially in seq. r/w). So always ask for the model name -before- you order.█ 5imple.net | KVM VPS in Munich, Germany

Yes i have used them once...
Server isnt instant like you get at ovh, but it was online within just a few hours, network isnt bad, and the os reload system gives you the option to setup raid etc etc... same as you would expect at ovh... and asks what type of raid it is you would like....
I didnt have a problem, but i also only used it as a test server really, just to store things on, not only do they have those servers, but you can also build your own...
There not to bad, support was faster then ovh aswell...
Why not send them an email, and perhaps order a cheap server, to test it out, and see what you think?

No, i speak english, im guessing that there a french company they speak french, but all my support questions were answered in both english and french if i remember correctly...
just remember, because they are french, there operating systems are french aswell, but if you know your way around linux, it takes just two seconds to change.
it took me all but two seconds to change the language...

also, one more thing, the servers they have listed arnt to bad, depending on what your going to do with them, but i truely reccommend, if you see one you like you buy it, because they for ever change there stock, so you might see it one day, come back the day after and its gone...
its more hit and miss, depending on the specs you want...
EDIT: there is also http://www.webtropia.com/en/
but i have never used them, so i can not comment on how good they are.
also there german and not french, but if it doesnt matter....Last edited by private_html; 07-17-2012 at 01:04 PM.
