Decided to sell my hosting site. Started it up Feb/March time and just aint got the time to run a full time hosting site so im selling my clients. Ill tell you as much as i can and you can let me know.

8 Shared hosting account.

7 Accounts have 3GB Disk space deals (£12.99 a year)
-- 6 Accounts are using under 70MB disk space each
-- 1 Account uses nearly 1500MB disk space
1 Account has 10GB Disk space deal (Client paid £61.88 for the year when i had it at £79.99 a year with code. But i have the deal at £49.99 now.)
-- 1 Account uses 166MB disk space

All yearly paid which i made a total of £157.53p which some use a promo code to buy hosting.

There is no domains on the server just web hosting. Its mainly all wordpress blogs, some html sites, and 1 forum. Also some accounts have parked domains with wordpress blogs on.

I might even sell the domain Expandhost I have both .com and .co.uk

I would like £200 through paypal or UK bank transfer.

I have also contacted the clients about the on going sale of the site.

Can you send me more details about the clients themselves? Such as renewal dates since they are all on annual packages. Do the clients have any specific requirements since you are a UK host?

All accounts are due for renewal in 2013 1 is due for renewal in Feb, 1 in March and 1 in April. 4 in May, and 1 June.

Its a mixed bunch with 4 from UK, 1 from Canada, 1 from US, 1 from Ukraine, 1 from Peru.

They have brought packages and not needed any help with transfers, or setup, etc..

So all brand new clients?, you have just taken yearly payments for them all and earnt £157 and now want £200 for another host to take them over for the year effectively for free?

Problem is if your not holding the domain, the likely hood of them simple switching named servers is high and with a lack of history they are more than likely to leave.

I would personally say this is worth nearer £50-80 if so I would possibly take a punt at £60.

I'd like a bit more then that seeing as I've put a lot of work in to my site. 2 clients have also requested to be moved to a UK host with roughly the same price and features.

BeDot's on the money - all your customers are yearly paying, so there's very little income on these customers to be had for quite some time, which makes a case for payback very hard to justify.

Not trying to hang you out to dry, simply trying to set your expectations of what a host is looking for when acquiring customers.

£200 was a pop in the dark so i could be haggled down But i wouldn't go less then £100.

Meh, I'll stab in at £65. Beating BeDot, but he's right on the money. What you're offering isn't very much. I'd want the domains and the brand too.

But can you provide more info such as the server, specs, monthly cost etc?
