Question

Cherokee web server on a production server... what's your opinion?

Hi,

I just found this http://www.cherokee-project.com/ and tried it on a server.

It looks great, but how secure is it?

Since it's a totally different approach for hosting websites, and i am not familiar with this one, i preferred to ask before i try it on a production server ...

Thank you in advance for telling me about your opinion on this!

Martin

This is really the wrong section for that.

But cherokee is a decent server, I've used it some months ago on advise of one of my security guys. It is really simple and rather quick. It is quite secure, but of course it is not used much. I guess this is a + and a -, because not many people will target it, it is less likely to be exploited; But this also means that it is less likely that exploits are found and patched...
