    WHMCS RAM

    Hi,

I want to know the minimum RAM that is required to run WHMCS on a VPS. I am planning to get 512 Mb with 50 GB disk space from hostigation. Any suggestion are appreciated.

    Thank you

512MB should be enough if you ar not running anything else on the server. As your database and userbase grows you might want to add some.

You wouldn't need more than 256 if you're not going to install a control panel, just check what your MySQL database takes first.

    Hi,

Thank you for the update. I am just starting off this, so its basically very few clients and I am gonna use this only for WHMCS, nothing else will be done thr, So it seems like 256 should be good

    Thank you

It you dont use Apache and use something like Lighttpd then it should be doable with good performance, etc

Assuming you remove the need for a control panel (for both a resource saving/security measure). You can easily run a LAMP Stack with WHMCS with less then 256 MB of RAM.

As with any PHP/MySQL script, this will be greatly dependent on the traffic it receives. Since I doubt you get 100k hits a day on startup, much less to a client/billing system, you should be fine with 512, even running a control panel.

Price difference between a 256MB and a 512MB VPS is usually few dollars (2-4 monthly), then i would go with 512MB, it surely improves performances.

Why buy more than you need? The price will build up over time and if he only needs 256, why say 1GB? It's just a waste of money if it's never being used.

512 will be fine. I wouldn't want it on a 256 MB server with anything else other than LAMP. You may as well stick it on a pi

Infact 256MB is more than you'll need.

WHMCS will work fine without issue on 128MB Xen
