Looking for Good, Cheap Hosting

I'm just looking for multiple hosts that are cheap and secure..
and
Cheap - under $5/month ($7 might be ok..)
Cpanel/ Fantastico (for wordpress installs)
Looking to host maybe 1-3 domains only.
Traffic is extremely low, under 100 visitors/month.
Location can be anywhere... maybe US/Europe.
Some host that is legit, has been and will be around for many years.

So far I just have HostGator and 1and1. 1and1 is a bit slow, and HostGator is just fine.. so if you know anything along the lines of HostGator that would be good.

Here's what I found looking around the forums here so far:
BlueHost
Eleven2 (upfront yearly though)
HawkHost
StableHost

Any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance

How much diskspace would you require?

BlueHost is an EIG brand. Don't use EIG companies. Lousy.
HawkHost and StableHost are excellent.
There's quite a few great hosts to choose from. (Crocweb, who posted above, is an example.)

Yearly upfront is fine with me, because it sometimes saves a few $$.
Just don't spend more than you're willing to lose. My limit is to gamble up to $40/year.

Extremely little. Probably under 20-30 megabytes per domain ?

What's wrong with EIG?

Thanks, I will look into CrocWeb.. Any other suggestions for under $5/month ?
I'm looking to find at least 10 hosts.

Since my requirements are low, I guess priorities are low cost, and knowing the company will be around for a long time.

I'd like to recommend you to have a look at 4goodhosting.com shared hosting services which have many resources and their prices are quite affordable.

If you insist on your list, I will be suggesting you use Hostgator they have been all round good. Use them for some time before moving to dedicated.

There are many offers in the ads section . Anyway don't choose a very low price.

Hm, you pay for the type of service you'll get, imo. Please, just don't get too caught up with the "unlimited" aspect of webhosting. Everything is doomed to run out, eventually.

I would kindly suggest Crocweb, MDD, or Speedy Sparrow, myself.

Do you have plans to add domain in future? If yes, it's recommended looking for hosting that integrated with unlimited domain features.

A wordpress install needs more than that, a well-running wordpress eats about 40 to 60 MB. If you'll install Wordpress, just say you'd need about 100 MB per domain.

No more than 2-3 domains per host.

Ok thanks. I think that should be well under most basic plans.

StableHost and HawkHost are a good choice, they have good reviews around here.

I recently saw an ad for Fresh Roasted Hosting. It's a new company but the idea is clever and they seem like good folks. You could give them a try.
