2u Rackable Systems Servers or 1U SuperMicro Superserver

Hello, all
have a couple questions on what your guys preferences are.. We are wondering which one would best be used for a dedicated server

2U Rackable Systems C2004 Half Depth
2x Intel Xeon E5345 Quad Core
8GB RAM
4 SATA Hard Drives
Rackable KVM I/O
450W power Supply

or

1U Supermicro SuperServers
2x Intel Xeon E5335 Quad Core
8GB RAM
4x SATA Bay
Supermicro X7DBR-E motherboards
SIMSO+ Management Card
560W Power Supply

We have 2 sets of these servers and wondering what the people in this industry prefer.

thanks.

Justin

Hello Justin,

Personally I would prefer to use the 1U server.

Kind regards,

Luke

I run mostly SuperMicro and am very happy with them.

Makes no difference. What is the bigger problem is that these are old processors which use a lot of power, and aren't really good for anything at this point.

Seems like Superimicro is the more popular brand for larger companies, I do sell a ton of rackable systems for smaller companies. what ido like about rackable systems is that they're very compact and high density and we can fit a lot of them in a small rack space.
