Hows Business?
I am fairly new to the forums, but have an extensive background in various aspects of IT. That being said, I used to be an administrator on one of the largest forums made specifically for computer repair business owners. One of the things we used to do there, was start a thread each month to see how everyone's business was doing. Thought it would be a cool idea to do something similar here, considering most are playing on the same ballfield (vs local business spanning state to state).
That being said, how is business for you? In the past month have you seen an increase/decrease/or the normal flow of customers? Doing something different with your business that is yielding positive results, share it here!
For me personally, business is up this month. We have been working on some new marketing strategies that are starting to pay off. Nothing "new" in the sense of revolutionary, but more of things we have not tried yet. I always find it exciting when business is up, gives me more of a sense of satisfaction and keeps pushing me forward. How about you guys?

Definitely down across the board. I've seen other companies around here feeling this way too (local ones, not wht ones).

Business has been going great and getting better every month. It may surprise some people, but a lot of end users really like the low cost no support business model. A few of our customers told us that they have even printed out pages of our website and hung the pages up at work to show their friends. It is very exciting.

Up from this time last year, down from last month...but then again, April was our best month last year, and May the worst last year, so it's not anything that wasn't expected.

Are you sure this isn't due to the wording on the "Amateur questions" page; I mean referring to some of your customers as "stupid"?
However a USP is worth selling and if the customers has the relevant experience and does not generally need support, that is fine
But what happens when something really does go wrong?
In most cases the customer would really need a response...M8 INTERNET : Simple and cost effective website hosting from the UK

Business over here is hard to determine.
We just launched a few days ago, and are having a fun time learning the marketing techniques of a VPS/Cloud hosting company, but from what we can tell business has been good.
If you don't mind me asking: I am curious to hear about some of the techniques that you all have used for marketing that have worked. As people always say, multiple brains thinking are better than one

Business could be better..
We have had a few extra signups since we joined in on WHT and started up some adwords but although we have received a good 100 clicks from adwords.. no extra signups from that.
If we get a few high end customers to ensure we break even id be happy.Infused Hosting - UK/Europe - Alec S
