Upgrade Centos 5.8 to the last version

Hi i have a Centos 5.8 on a dedicated server with Cpanel, how could i do to update to the last version of Centos (6.2)

Could i do that directly from the WHM? if no
There are one step by step tutorial that shows how to do by command line?

OS need to be reloaded with new version and that may erase the data.

so you need to backup the data, and do OS reload, because I guess there is no other way to do this.

Correct, there is no way to upgrade to CentOS 6 from CentOS 5. You must do a fresh install.

Why do you want to use CentOS 6? CentOS 5 is still supported with security updates.

If it's not broke, don't fix it.
