need program help for ipod
Does anyone know of a good free program I can use to transfer music files from my ipod to my computer? I've searched on google and fount a program called icopybot.com but not sure if it's a good working program (succesful) or not. Any suggestions on a program I can use that is free and works pretty easily?

Are you using Windows, Apple OS, or other?

iTunes does this. Any reason you can't simply use that?

I don't believe if it's on your iPod and not the computer you can reverse the transfer.

Wasn't aware of that, just never had the need. I can view the files in Windows Explorer here, though they're not organized recognizably and missing titles and such. They do play.

On Linux, I have used a program called gtkpod when my brother lost his computer. He had a old 20 GB iPod that I was able to recover from

Ive googled this and found a program called HFSExplorer which says it can let me view mac formatted files on a windows machine and hopefully will make it able for me to transfer files from the ipod to the pc aswell. I guess I'm gonna just have to test it and find out. Not sure what else i can do.

Just an update in case anyone else ever has this problem, the program HFSExplorer allows you to view the mac files on a pc (windows 7) and allowed me to transfer them to iTunes and kept the music files names/artist names. Thanks everyone!
