Quadranet is highly recommended on these boards. You can also look at Colo@ (they are awesome; we use them in ATL), CorporateColo (Vic and his team run a very nice DC; you would want to probably run your own bandwidth though). WebNX is also in LA, no experience with them however. They tend to be on the high side.

Might want to go speak to QuoteColo, they should be able to find you a good deal. But, direct providers, there's Quadranet (as others have mentioned) and CalPop. Not sure if CalPop is much to bother with these days, but they're an option.

LA can be a little expensive. In my opinion though, Quadranet doesn't scale well unless you get up to the half cab level.
* I will add though, their sales staff is really good, always had quick responses.

Why not? Do you have first hand experience to be able to say this?
QuadraNet has been nothing but good for us... one of the best datacenters we've worked with.

Yes, I was working with their sales staff recently and decided it wasn't the best route for us because we wanted to start with a few servers in two of their locations.
The pricing per server wasn't affordable unless we scaled to a half cab which we didn't want to start with. That combined with confusing pricing schemes lead me to abandon them as an option. For example, right on their site: 1 server + 3TB: $99, then an upgrade option to add 10TB is $49. Yet they charge $199 for 1 server + 10TB ($51 more and 3TB less).
The main reason I decided not to pursue is because they wanted to charge $79 for every server I added until I had a half cab (only 1A and not including bandwidth or a network drop)
