Question

PhP 4.3.1 on RAQ4


Hello,

I was wondering if there is ANYONE that has a cobalt package with PhP 4.1.3 with WDDX, XML, XML DOM and XSLT support ?
I need PhP 4.1.3 with all of those (and ofcourse the default cobalt options) ... please help me out anyone !!!!

I know Michael Stauber at solarspeed.net is working on one. It'll probably cost you some $$ though.

I don't know if Taco Scargo's got a new one brewing at pkgmasters.com or not. There wasn't a new one last time I checked.

I'm bashing away on one in my spare time; no ETA on completion yet though. I haven't decided yet if it will be free or cost $$ though...

BruceT why not distribute free but if anyone needs support they need to pay say $25?

Because a well-written PKG doesn't _need_ any support! It just installs and works...

Based on my lack of luck with the compiler, it's gonna be a while anyway.

Why not build a PKG that installes the PhP source, lets you define the params and compiles it .... or is that not possible ?

Hm. Anything is possible, but that would be a long way around... there are so many dependencies that need to be resolved and all, I can't imagine that a script like that would work properly for a large percentage of people. I'll definitely think about it though...
