Are you looking for a highly configured VPS or a dedicated server, because it's 10 blogs you see.

Hello,
I assume you need a VPS rather then a shared hosting account. May I ask why you need 10 IP addresses?

Also what are your disk space/bandwidth requirements

I would also advice you to look into getting a VPS to fit your hosting requirements. A VPS will also give your blogs room to grow, while shared hosting would not allow that much room for growth.

Hello,
I am still wondering why 10 IP Addresses is a requirement for the OP. I hope he does not fall for one of those SEO Scams that make you think that multiple IP Addresses helps with SEO.

You can get a VSP for sub $10.00 per month from several providers if you dont need management. If management is needed, you would be looking in the #30 range. If you are afraid of looking at a black box with blinking white text, go fully managed.

@Chico-Pipo the IPs are going to be an issue for you. SSL will likely be a must for each domain.

Some hosts may want to see proof of purchase for the SSL certs from a recognized certification authority. If you look around you "might" find a host willing to offer the IPs for Self-Signed SSL installation.

Yeah, I would also recommend going for a VPS/Dedi you may get away with a shared host however blog software can end up using much bandwidth and CPU.

No I don't. I manage those blogs for potential competitors, and I don't want they know each other.

I prefer be hosted on a shared server, because traffic is low.

Hello,
You can get a reseller account for this however I dont think the IP Justification is reasonable. The internet is running dangerously low on IPv4 IP Addresses so they will require better justification such as SSL

If you wanted shared hosting for that, most hosts would need you to have a reseller package in order to assign more than one IP - many hosts let each shared account have one IP address, which rules out having 9 add-on domains.

Also, most hosts would not regard the need for the competitors to know each other as sufficient grounds for issuing IP addresses. Remember that many shared hosts put as many as 400 accounts on a server. The fact that two competitors can find out that they are on the same shared server does not prove any connection, and certainly does not prove that you manage the blogs for both of them - it just proves they use the same hosting company.

Put those two restrictions together, I'd suggest one of two ways forwards: 1. Forget the requirement to have different IPs. 2. Find ten different hosts, and put each blog on a different one.

Good idea. However, it means ten time more worries. Ten time more time to manage them too.

Or you can look for a host like Eleven2 which gives its resellers access to make accounts on multiple servers (even in many physical datacenters). They are still shared IP Addresses with hundreds of other sites on them.

You're caught between a rock and a hard place! I guess, if you decide you can't have your ideal scenario, you have to decide which of your ideals is the least important and sacrifice that one: (i) The multiple IPs, (ii) The single host, (iii) the shared environment as opposed to a VPS.

Good suggestion. HostNine is another similar option, though not as highly rated here on WHT.

If you want truly separate IP's, go buy 10 shared hosting accounts from different providers...
