Need decently priced freebsd server

hey all, need a freebsd server again.. Last time I had issues with that reseller I was using.. don't remember his name but people on this forum know him very well I guess.

http://www.kimsufi.ie/

I like their servers and prices but I am from usa and they require me to send personally identifying information to order with them. So I'd like a reseller or another good host I can directly use. Preferably I'd like a reseller because I do not want to give away information of my own when unnecessary. My Kimsufi server was with an Xeon 2.67 x4 water cooled, and 1Gbps connection.. other than that it was the one for 49.99 GBP.

I'm looking for something with 8GB of ram, and a decent quad core processor.. along with 100mbit - 1gbps connection. I intend to upgrade the server to have more ram in the future. << snipped >>

Thanks

Hosts are not allowed to send you offers per WHT rules. They can only recommend providers to you.

I also don't see why you don't want to provide your ID scan, they wont do anything with it, they are a very reputable provider.

Anyway, here is a reseller: mydedis.com "I have no personal experience with them"

You can also check webtropia.com and hetzner.com, both are good & cheap, however, hetzner will/may require ID scan for verification too.

Most providers will offer FreeBSD as an option and those that don't list it on their website will usually install it upon request.

I would just look for a company that offers dedicated servers and if its not listed on their website then you can probably email them to see if they will install FreeBSD.

Also check out the offerings section on this site to find discounts on dedicated servers.

I'd also be interested in trying out a server with maybe a dual core cpu of 2.5-3Ghz and 100mbit-1gbit connection, 8+ GB ram.

Sounds like an E3-1230 will get you through on what you are trying to do also perform well, as well be in a good budget! What are your requirements on disk space?

About 500GB is fine.

Not in Singapore, not in South or North America, not in Germany. Anywhere else in European union is acceptable.. as well as Russia/Ukraine/Panama . On a budget around $50-100 so I doubt there are E3-1230s in price range.

$100 is tight for an E3-1230, you could do it for Euro120 though that is a fair bit higher.

Yeah I could do that after the first month most likely but I'm being informed now that I don't even need all that cpu power for what I'm doing. I'd be interested in some kind of dual core 2Ghz or so with 8GB ram and 100mbit-1gbit port, 500gb space.

I think you probably ought to stick to the usual budget hosts then, but you might need to compromise some of your requirements on location or id.
