    http://thewatchers.adorraeli.com/201...in-march-heat/

some parts of europe and america is boiling compared to average march standards, and different parts of the world are still not even in march.

major anomalies. makes one wonder what will happen in summer.

Indeed. Do you think it's cyclical weather patterns or global warming?

i dont think it can be cyclical. i have lived in this geographical region all my life. i have seen weather extremes, a lot, but it never has been so that temperature would drop to 0 - -3 degrees in a place where winter average temperatures had been around 10-12 degrees for the last 30 years, THEN suddeny go up to 15 degrees in one day, then to -3 again that very night and so on.

if something is cyclical, then there occurs a natural progression of its system. it acts rationally by interacting with the other elements of the greater system it is in - it doesnt act irrationally and chaotically.

just check out that map. a stripe ranging from the sw end of u.s. to scandinavia's arctic facing parts are much hotter than march averages. as far as climates and temperatures concerned, sw u.s. (near california) is totally a different world compared to arctic facing scandinavia. ( you get arctic day/night cycles there - you rarely see sun in the winter, and sun is hard to set in summer)..... whereas places like saudi arabia etc are still in late winter.

whatever this is, it is not normal.

i wouldnt want to go into summer with these extreme daily temperature variations. it wouldnt be nice to go from 40 degrees celsius to 10 degrees in one day.

Don't come to the UK then

Common rule here is, if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes

no it aint like that. ie, its not like you have sun in one minute, and then suddenly clouds/rain come and it gets somewhat cooler. its rather normal.

here, without clouds or rain, it can get considerably hotter suddenly, or cooler. the opposite is true too. its no guarantee that because you have clouds or rain its gonna be cold.

late this winter we were having freak weather due to cold weather coming from ukraine etc. its not something common. but it seems maybe it has become a pattern.

Another dire warning for 2012 - Solar Maximum - peak of its 11-year cycle.

This may explain why this is happening.. You be the judge, but the facts of solar activities are science facts, not science fiction.

aaaand, voila - out of nowhere sudden wind and haze arrived, with a yellowish look in the sky. then in just an hour it started to rain like there's no tomorrow. thunders, strong winds. the rain is so solid that the sound of it is like a tv static outside.

When I discover huge temperature anomalies, I generally see about replacing the thermostat.

In all seriousness, it's easily solar activities this year. They've been sending out warnings for a while. All that does, of course, is compound ongoing issues with man-made and natural climate change ("global warming").

There's no one issue, but a mix.

Weather has been very unusual in the Philadelphia area as well, it was the warmest March ever recorded.

Remember just last week it was 90 on Tuesday, 55 on Wednesday. Weird. We are also facing a major shortage of rainfall for this time of year, this is the driest March/April I've ever seen.

Whilst you guys are sweating, we are physically drowning. Going by the charts we are a lot cooler than average - probably a good thing for once I think - it gets way to hot here.

Melbourne can be 23C one day and 35C the next it is a crazy world.
