VolumeDrive Competition?

Are there any other hosters in VolumeDrive's price range, who happen to be better, and is reputable.

VolumeDrive is good, however they are really slow at setting up servers.

Try to keep in the VD price range.
I have made a similar thread, however didn't find any real good answers.

These will be for MineCraft.
Location in the US is preferred.

Thanks

The reason why you didn't get any real good answers is because there aren't any. I would imagine it's very hard to operate a company on such slim margins. VolumeDrive is probably the best you will get at that pricing.

Your other choices are ionity and securedservers, but both are either at or above $100/mo.

I also saw an offer from serverstadium/******* for reselling e3s at $90/m.

Good luck!

I am not looking for reselling.
Thanks for the answer however.

I know Datashack has the i7-2600k, which is similar in performance to the E3-1230, just something to consider. Hard to really get true server grade parts around those prices, so you may want to start looking into the consumer CPUs which can bring similar performance with a few tradeoffs.

Kimsufi. They're not US servers but down here in Texas I can hit 100mbit to them in France, and despite how much that confuses me, I can't say I'm not pleased. Setup time is almost too fast, I'm fairly certain I'm using a netbook shoved into a drawer with an Ethernet cable hanging out, but it is what it is...dedicated, fast, and cheap.

You shouldn't be surprised that your search is coming up empty. You're asking a lot for a little... There are a lot of trade offs that come with selling servers so cheap (slim margins, longer ROI, etc.). Only a few companies are in a position to sell performance hosting at that price range.

I am not going to do business with anyone worse then VD. Which i believe Kimsufi and OVH are.

EDIT:
What i mean by that, is i do not want to be hosted in France or the UK.

Kimsufi and OVH have been fine for me. The setup is almost instant if they have stock and you can do everything from their control panel.

Going a little above Volume isn't bad.
I just don't want to be selling above $15 a GB

Thanks for the mention of our name.

It's really hard to compete with VolumeDrive pricing though.

I assume a lot of their customers stay for a long time though, so that probably makes up for some of it

There is no U.S. hosts that compete with them. You cam find some deals close to that price in the offers forum, but that is about it

I hope you are joking Mr. Kingscrafters. OVH is head and heals above VD in terms of both hardware and bandwidth. VD uses oversold BurstNet bandwidth, on cheap, used server hardware that often fails. On top of that their support is almost the worst you can get. You can't compare OVH to VD.

Also seeing as you are trying to get the lowest priced servers, you will most likely not get quality service. If you are renting bottom of the barrel servers, then your clients will most likely get bottom of the barrel quality too. I think you need to re-evaluate opening a hosting company. Just because you run a cracked Minecraft server that is semi-popular, does not mean you should be running a hosting company.

They're not. You're risking downtime with any budget provider. I'd say a step above is BurstNET but they don't have hardware to match VolumeDrive's offerings, not even in a roughly similar range in my opinion.

To be honest, I think you need to change your plan or go with VolumeDrive.
