Memo/Note taking Application?
Anybody know of a good, quick to launch memopad or note taking application?
I want something that I can quickly fire up, and type something out.
Syncing to Google Docs would be AMAZING. I tried one that came preinstalled on my phone, but it didn't work with Google Apps domains.

Try "ColorNote". Has functionality to sync with online notes.

Interesting. Great app. Was hoping for sync to Google Docs though, like scratchpad does on my chromebook.
Although, this looks great and I may just use it. Thanks for the recommendation.

I use Evernote a lot. One of my top used applications. However it's not great at "just opening and typing". On blackberry's memopad you could just open and start typing. Making it great for those moments where you didn't know you'd be writing stuff down while someone is talking, but have the option to without having to tell them "wait a second" while Evernote loads.
Color seems okay for now. It doesn't have Google Docs syncing, but that's perfectly fine. Was a necessity.

Why not just use Google Docs?

Same reason. I have it on here, and use it for other things. But not ideal for this.
With the Google Docs app...
You open it
Hit New document
Give it a title
Then have to wait a second for "Creating new document"
THEN you can type.
lol. I know it sounds like I'm being incredibly picky, but there are tons of apps that do what I want them to do.
The app that came preinstalled "Memo" does EXACTLY what I want. However it does not support GDoc syncing with Google Apps domains. Only regular Google Accounts.
It's fine though, colornote works.

You can try MobisleNotes. The pro version allows you to sync with Google Docs.
Evernote and Google Docs are not slow. If you want to launch them with just one click, just put a widget on your home screen. It'll launch a new note with just one click.
If you want it to be even quicker, you can put a new note shortcut in your lock screen, if your from allows it, or use a third party lock screen, like widget locker or go locker.

Ooh! Yeah, that's actually perfect. Thanks for the suggestions.
Now I have to find a way to make room for this widget. lol, I filled everything up. Time to make some folders I guess.

I don't know what I was thinking or if I played with it right, the Evernote app is REALLY REALLY fast.
I guess I was still thinking of the Evernote I had on BlackBerry.
Wow, okay. Done deal.

I'm also a Google Docs + Evernote + Google Calendar FANATIC. Combined with my own version of "GTD" I am reorganizing everything I do from work to play, and it's really amazing. Once you have them configured to work FOR you it starts making day to day tasks easier and less stressful.
As for just taking notes: evernote for sure. Love the integration with my calendar, and it's so fast and organized.
