Question

GSLFbot?

I've seen this bot hit lots of pages on my server consuming alot of CPU, can anyone let me know what is its main purpose, and where it comes from?

it's a spam bot.

You can block it with mod_security:
SecRule HTTP_User-Agent "GSLFbot" "deny,log,status:403"

or rewrite rule:
RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} ^GSLFbot
RewriteRule ^.* - [F,L]
