I have a real quick question about WHM, I have never used it and don't know a lot about its workings.

When defining a package, can one also have the software automate the installation of certain software without the user having to log into cPanel and click the install button?

What I would like it to do is have a bundle template that gets mirrored during account creation. An example would be to have WHM auto install a predefined custom bundle of WordPress complete with the database, plugins, etc., ready to go during the sign-up and set-up of an account.

Does your host have softaculous installed by chance? cPanel/WHM does not have a package install option but softaculous does add this via an API command

Sorry for the confusion, no middle man host. This would be installed on dedicated servers.

I am just looking for a better management system that will allow our custom packages to be auto installed during an end users account creation.

Automated software installation with new accounts can be done with Softaculous as KMyers pointed out. You can pickup a Softaculous license for like $2/mo although it does seem like you would need a WHMCS license:

There might be other ways around this without WHMCS, I'm not 100% sure on that but maybe someone else can chime in.

Seconded @ Softaculous...! I'm pretty confident Patrick you are right about the WHMCS license though...

- Use WHMCS (licensed) as the automation tool to setup the account in WHM
- Use Softaculous (licensed) as the automation tool to setup the script(s)
- Softaculous has a module for WHMCS to integrate the 2
- You will need to make your own Softaculous install zip file
