I currently have 4 boxes, 2 game servers and 2 other dedicated servers with ReliableServers.net and do roughly 45mbits between the 4. Havent had any problems with them, probably going to be gettting a 5th box there next month.

We purchase bandwidth and racks from choopa and thats it. We do not resell their servers, we own everything we rent out to clients.

but in the event of a network-related issue, it would be better dealing directly with choopa because they'd (the client) would be at your level of the game (because they can talk to the respective techs directly instead of through you)... correct?

on the other hand, u guys could provide more customized support/etc for the servers themselves...

so i guess its a question of what the client figures their hosting environment be? one with high load per server (increasing chance of server dying) or not...

Well if you want to get down to it, no. They would be better off going direct to exodus or verio so they have direct contact with the techs, granted for a much greater price. What we do it no different than what other dedicated providers out there do, go thru a company that buys in bulkbandwidth and get a bulk discount ourself from them. We save a vast amount of money doing this than going direct to exodus even with the usage we have, with no degrade in quality.
As for what the serverload would be, thats totally dependant on the client what they want to spend and how many eggs they want in a single basket.

Dilhole, your argument would be valid if choopa were not managing their own routing/etc... but they are... so they have more control over the network than just someone with a direct feed to a single backbone provider...
