brute force attack and i cant log in to my account . what to do?
my webmail is locked due to brute force attack which is for continuous try of login to webmail with a wrong password. this was caused by my customer. 9 email address were tried to do that with a wrong password.
finally i found i cant logon my cpanel .
the msg is as bellow:
"This account is currently locked out because a brute force attempt was detected. Please wait a few minutes and try again. Attempting to login again will only increase this delay. If you frequently experience this problem, we recommend having your username changed to something less generic."
what to do know?

Did you try calling your host to see if they could re-set the account?

You should be unblocked after a few hours. However the quickest way to get access back is to contact your host to unblock you.

Usually when you're blocked due to brute force attack it should not take more than few minutes and you can login again without issues.
It happened with us, but if you are still unable to do it, i will suggest to contact your hosting provider.LinkAlone Networks - Canadian Smart Hosting Solutions
