Getting dedicated server PCI Compliant

I am setting up a new ecommerce store on a dedicated server. I am looking to integrate Sage with Direct Integration so the payment form is part of the checkout process. This of course requires my server to be PCI Compliant.

I know few freelancers that can help get my server meet the PCI Compliant guidelines. However I need to get my server certified. But getting PCI certified is extemely expensive!

Does anyone know of a PCI Certification provider that can do it cheaply and doesn't cost an arm and leg. I've looked at Security Metrics they're charging at least $700 a year!

Any help will be much appreciated.

I believe Comodo has a free PCI Scan that gives your a pass/fail report. If failed, it'll list out all the issues and you should be able to fix them yourself with a little know how and scan again until you pass.

Keep in mind though that passing this scan is not all it takes to be PCI Compliant...but it's a start.

Yes I already know about the Comodo scan and I already have a technician who can help me achieve my server to become PCI Compliant.

What I am looking for instead is a PCI Certification service! Meeting the guidelines isn't hard. But getting certified is incredibly expensive.

If yourself or anyone knows who can provide this service at an affordable price please let me know.
