Please Clarify My Doubts !!
Hello,
My Requirement :
-> 100Gb HD
-> 50TB Bandwidth (Monthly)
- > Should be able to provide direct links of my files
- > Users should get at least 1Mbps download speed (if their internet connection supports)
can you tell me whether this dedicated server is sufficient or not ?
Processor : Quad Core Xeon X3320
Memory : 2GB Ram
HDD : 500GB
Connection : 100Mbit
Optional : 1Gbit
Bandwidth : Unlimited
Cpanel : Optional (30$)
Will this satisfy my requirement ??
What does Connection : 100Mbit does actually ? do i need to take 1Gbit Connection ?
My site uses at least 1TB bandwidth daily.. if i give direct links to my files
please help me

No, 100mbit connection cannot deliver 50TB. Max of it is 33TB assuming it's running at max 24/7.

The other thing you need to look at is how often you're actually pushing above 100Mbps. Many providers are not offering you a true dedicated gigE port. What provider are you looking at?
For example, FDC offers shared gigE ports where many people find they max out around 80Mbps.
If you're actually doing a full TB of transfer every day, then I would recommend a gigE port, not a 100Mb port. But you do need to find out if that's dedicated gigE or shared gigE.
100 mb/s maxed out for one month would be 33.48 TBLionLink Networks

Also, how sure you're pushing 1TB every day? What kind of connection are you on now?

If you are planning to use your server to host files then you need to be careful of any DMCA - are users allowed to upload files?

If you don't mind overseas:

If price is a big thing... you could always do FDC... but be wary.... many people are not happy with them...
