Looking for 6+ High end CPU dedis

Looking for 6 dedicated servers with similar CPU power as the i7 3930 - I am happy with multiple CPUs etc.

Windows would be preferable, otherwise ubuntu/centos.

Other specs are not as important, I assume minimum of 6GB RAM, 50GB HDD, 1IP per dedicated server.

My Budget: $900/month for all 6

    Any deals?

Your budget is VERY low considering your expecting a high end configuration.

What location do you want these servers exactly?
    UK Based Proactive Server Management.
    Zabbix Enterprise 24/7 Monitoring.

Location is not majorly important, US will be okay.
(I am based in UK, however dedis in UK/EU seems more expensive than their US counterparts)

    Also 100% unmanaged.

i7-3930 or equivalent in CPU terms (8 cores+).
If not possible I will increase my budget.

DataShack might work if you can increase your budget by $50/svr

Take a look at webnx. They offer that cpu with 16gb of memory and a 120GB SSD at $200.
They generally do discounts for multiple server purchases and may be able to provide less memory or a different type of drive for a lower price.

You might also be able to find good e5645 deals, similar performance and providers are getting cancellations and such for the newer E3 and E5 series.

Not much of a high end configuration and your budget is reasonable. $200 per month per server would be easier to find though although it may considerably increase your monthly costs considering you need multiple.

I have been in discussion with WebNX, however I don't need the 16gb RAM or multiple IPs and they would not offer me any sort of discount for less RAM, IPs, HDD and also for purchasing 6 dedicated server

    i7 3930K + 24GB RAM + 80GB SSD @ 119,99EUR (~156USD)

Giga has bad reviews everywhere, I wouldn't really recommend them but they fit your budget.

Fits with your budget, good specs, setup price but if you take 6 they may do a deal.

Then it's a no for them.
I am looking to purchase off a secure provider and I am looking to stay with them for next 5 years

If you're able to pay a setup fee that may open some doors. Have any of the vendors you've been talking to mentioned the possibility of paying a setup fee to reduce your monthly fee?

To be honest, all providers I have contacted at the moment have waivered the set up fees.

Still waiting for reply from hatzner.

Starting to formulate the general price for the dedicated servers I would like and the possible providers. Also looking into similar CPU such as E3-1230.

Updated Budget for 6 Dedicated Servers: Under $1000/month.

    There's also KillerCreation: http://www.killercreation.co.uk/dedi...eredge-r210-ii
Although it's a "gaming provider" I had a dedicated server there for webhosting and they were one of the best dedicated hosts I've ever used. The support was fast, the network was fast, and the server was always up. I was with them for a couple of years and had maybe 20 minutes total downtime (due to issues with LINX).

Kimsufi is a really cheap one:

I have a couple of 24G's which perform OK, support can take up to a day to reply but you don't really need to contact them - reverse dns, reboots, reinstalls, kvm, etc can ALL be done from the control panel.
The i7 920 is not really as good as the other CPUs you mentioned though.

Agreed, I am really looking for more powerful CPU.
I would expect a basic dedi panel (with unmanaged), basically all I need is remote reboot!

Currently the only CPU packages which will be applicable are:

    Intel e7
    Intel e5
    Intel i7 3930 / 3960
    Dual - Quad Cores

Out of interest what do you want such powerful CPUs for with little RAM etc?

Webnx had these listed in a special a while back, try contacting them directly to see if they can work out a deal for you.

    Limehost/Voxility is cheap, E3-1240 @ 89EUR + 75EUR setup fee.
    http://www.limehost.ro//servere/dedicated-models.html
The bandwidth is not so good though, and I can't give you any information about their services as I haven't used them myself, but they replied to my sales tickets quickly.

    Also WorldStream in NL: http://www.worldstream.nl/#intel-xeon-new

However E3-1240 is only 4 core (obv 8core with HT), but compared to 3930/3960 I believe the difference will be obvious.

I'll look through the links though, thank you!

Have you also considered Amazon EC2 High-CPU instances?

If you don't mind waiting, they will generally offer a similar spec offering every month or so.
They are a great provider but have some flaws in my opinion. They could have a special (Going to use some fake numbers here) original price $250 month new price $199 month. Special is over, you contact them for lets say $225 a month and have trouble negotiating with them. Other times you will get the exact special pricing without complaint. I don't quite get their methods but once you get past that it's generally a great service.

Just a rough estimate but I would say there is a 20% general performanec difference between the two with the 3930 being faster. Although if your software takes advantage of more cores than the 3930 will perform generally better than the above number.
