Hack proofing a server
Is there any way to make a dedicated server completely hack proof?
Can DDOS protection make a great difference in this issue?
Can server management and monitoring technicians do prevent it or make a quick solution?
If a RAID server gets hacked, can the hacker delete all data from all the hard drives?I mean is it safe in this situation to use the second hard drive as a backup?
I was looking into 100tb.com servers. They have very good offers.Do any of you experience with them in the hacking issue, how are they considering all these.I am very scared as I saw one of my local hosting resellers website getting hacked.

You cant make it completely hack proof.
It can be secure one day, and the the next day a vulnerability is found and you get hacked.
Its a constant process that you must keep updating your software to the latest versions.
I recommend signing up for the announce mailing lists for the software you use, such as apache, php, linux so you know when a new version is released and can take quick action.
If you get hacked he hacker can delete your data from the RAID.
Your backup server must be configured so that the hacker cannot touch the backups even if he has root access to your server.
So you should make your backup system login to the server, not the other way around.
100tb is unmanaged so its the same as any other unmanaged provider, ie. you are responsible for securing your own servers.
There are managed server providers and 3rd party admin services that will keep your server updated for you.

The key is to put things into position where you detect ahead of time that someone is trying to breach you.
Feedback loops, firewalls, brute force detectors, anything, and DDOS systems are nice as well. You have to stop them before they walk up to your door. The rules constantly change.WEBCS.com - WEBster Computing Services

Based on your questions, I would suggest you hire a managed provider from the very start. Securing a server correctly takes a great deal of time and experience. Managed services don't have to be expensive, you can expect to spend another $30 per month, per server. Small price to pay for a good nights sleep.

Nope, Banks and Microsoft have some the best administrators and security policys in the world yet they have still been hacked...
DDoS protection is a different subject...
Installation and configuration of a firewall and keeping things upto date is a starting point...
Yes, A server can be wiped with a single command its best to keep backups offsite on a different server and network.
Something just as simple as an outdated wordpress installation can get you hacked...UK Based Proactive Server Management.

Can another dedicated server with another host be used to backup the main dedicated server where the clients will be hosted?
