They're both reputable - you'll probably be fine with either. Personally I'd just pick one and sign up and try it out. They both offer some sort of refund policy if I'm not mistaken.

StableHost has some great reviews, and also offers more locations, while HawkHost seems to be US-only.

A friend of mine used HawkHost a while ago and reported a positive experience, and we've submitted abuse reports to HawkHost in the past and received timely responses.

Unfortunately no direct experience with either service.

edit: Looked at their websites, if you want more disk space you could try HawkHost and if you want more bandwidth you could try StableHost. As MikeDVB said, they both have refund policies so you can't go wrong.

I'd just choose one and go with. They're both reputable hosts, and as far as I remember they both offer a 30 day unconditional money back guarantee.

I think that would be opposite since Stablehost has US and Germany locations while Hawkhost has US, Singapore and Amsterdam according to their website.

Both are excellent. I've written up semi-detailed replies to posts in the past, at WHT and a few other sites. Neither is a bad/wrong choice, so it really comes down to personal preference on something like server location, or even just gut feeling. I've used both, and retain Stablehost as one of my primaries for personal sites (not because HH is bad, but just because that's how the cards fell).

Which ever you chose, you won`t regret.

I am with stablehost but a good friend of mine is with hawkhost and we never have issues.

    So, flip a coin hehehe

Since you are using Magento which is a resource hog, you may need to do some research and check with them on their tolerable resource usage.

Most average shared hosting providers will boot you out once you start to consume a little amount of CPU or RAM and this will be something that you will need to keep in mind.
