HTTPME.com

I used HTTPme for quite a few years now.. but recently I have an extra reseller account in another provider. I won't post their name here, but they are also very famous with a ton of positive reviews.

problem is.. this other provider i got blocks IPs whenever there are failed login attempts in my client's email by just a few times.. they wont tell you they blocked it either. so you have to figure it out yourself. Their support is also very strict, although i personally call it lousy. Should your client have some permission issues or mysql issues that you are not familiar with, they will say its not their problem and you need to figure it out yourself. Everything is just business.

It's fine I guess for most.. that is why a lot of people here say they are awesome. I personally lost about 7 big clients to their strict rules. So I am not a fan.

I ended up moving all my remaining accounts with this carrier back to HTTPME, its just plain awesome here. Support goes the extra mile.. and I mean all the way. For a reseller like me, I am not a full fledged programmer, I am just a techie business man.. HTTPME is Godsend.

They fix broken websites that I migrated all the way.. they are patient.. and damn, their support is fast. I literally just post my ticket and wait for a reply in a span of 15 minutes. And their support are mostly useful and pro-active. Sometimes, I am even embarrassed at all the request i am asking, they are almost spoon feeding me because I am not technically capable of what my client is asking of me.

I know some of the things I ask of them is no longer within their service agreement.. but they still do it. and because of that, my clients are happy too. they stay longer, I stay alive as well. So thank you so much HTTPME for backing up stupid old me.

They are quite a bit more expensive compared to most providers.. but this kind of support is what you get in return. I totally sleep well at night, without clients calling me up about their website being blocked again.

It's been some time since I last read an HTTPme review here on WHT. They're not priced for the crowd here anymore, so they don't focus on getting customers from WHT. Glad to hear they're still very good at what they do!

You're right as usual. Fortunately whenever there is a mention of HTTPme, it's always good news just as I posted my rave mini-review here.

I have a reputation for always looking for the best bargains, however I'm glad HTTPme.com competes on service and reputation.

HTTPme is top notch. I started with them back when AussieBob was selling resellers accounts from Australia (10 yrs or so). I recently had to give up my dedicated server with HTTPme because of some problems with a customer of mine but I miss the tech support dearly. Steven is a stand up guy and as soon as things get back to normal and he lower those prices, I will hopefully be back in their data center.

I've been with HTTPme since 2005, yes about 8 years now. Lately their service has been pitiful compared to how it was a few years ago so I thought I'd pop by here to see what other folks are saying about them.

Here's what I think of HTTPme:
- the servers are fast if you're on a newer one (I'm on a slower one that I've been on since 05)
- uptime is great, almost always 100% each month
- their pricing isn't all that out of line but then again I haven't shopped around much
- service/support response time is pitiful, you can update the trouble ticket and then wait an hour for a response. Usually they'll respond in 10 minutes to say "we'll look into it" and then you don't hear back for a loooong time
- support folks barely understand English some days so things take longer than they have to

Support used to be amazing, it's really gone downhill the last few years. Yes, you get support still, but it's slower and obviously outsourced.

Edit: I just noticed that although I browse here on occasion, I haven't posted here in 8.5 years. So you know I'm serious!

That recent post IS NOT a good review, if you read it.

For some reason the Title of their website shows up as:

"Visit nickn's homepage!" on Google. :p
