WTB Full Managed VPS
Hi I am looking for fully managed VPS with a reliable host. Data center should be in Europe/Asia.
Any help would be highly appreciated. I intend to set up a ecom website and a forum. VPS is for the first time for me. I am looking for
Minimum of the following
- 512 MB RAM Guaranteed
- 20 GB RAID10 Protected Space
- 300 GB Transfer
- 2 CPUs @ 2.00GHz
- 1 IPs included
- FREE cPanel / WHM Control Panel
- Port Speed 100 Mbps
Money should not be the criteria, however I do not mind saving some if possible. . Thank you all.

First decide what your budget is. You say money is not a criteria but do you mind spending €10, €20, €30, €40 or maybe even €50?
If you really want to save some money you could try an unmanaged service but since you said you have minimum experience with VPS a managed service sounds the best. When this is an important criteria you should definitely check reviews and comparisons for the help-desk and customer service. You are way more reliant on customer service when choosing for a managed service.
I would go for an European server anyway. But like CH Hosting mentioned. Do you have any preferred location in Europe. I would go for Germany or the Netherlands myself.

And: Do you need these 2 cores guaranteed or a fair share of them?

Thanks for your quick reply. The budget should be below 50$. I too have found German and Dutch DC having good latency time. I would love the unmanaged way, but since I am new to VPS, its gonna be managed for a while.

Fair share should be good enough. Even single core with good speed should be fine.

In that case I would advise you 2 things. Check reviews all around the internet and pay special attention to support and customer service. When using a managed VPS good support is essential.
Second: make a list of providers you think might be good. Then just sent support (not sales they will respond within minutes) tickets/emails/chats and record how fast and accurately they respond. Although it is just a small sample it will be a nice estimate of how reliable the support will be.

You can also have a look at lowendbox.com to see if there is something there to match with your needs or you can check out the VPS Hosting offers section in this forum.

In my opinion you need to topup your budget if you need managed service as well.
Most of the host will do and most of the time managed services you need to pay extra for it.

VMPort's Germany location is pretty solid from my experience. It's unmanaged but I would expect the same quality if I opted for their managed services.

I do not think that they offer fully managed service.

Look at EuroVPS.
They're a premium host, and worth every penny.
