VPS IP Connects To The Main Dedi?

    Hi,
So I am using Proxmox for virtuallization. I created a VPS, and ran the CentOS 6 install off the .iso. It asks me for an IP, hostmask, and a gateway. I enter the IP, hostmast, and the gateway. However, after its setup is complete, I can connect to the IP, but it connects to my main dedicated server. Any ideas?

    Hi,

Where your server is actually located (which host). Make sure that they are not binding IP with MAC. If this is the case you might not be able to connect to the virtual machine as long as its networking is bridge type. For such case, you can have routed networking. I hope it helps. !!!

I actually figured it out. I had to add the MAC address BEFORE booting the VM. Thanks though!
