    Wordpress Menu Question

    Hi Folks,

    I'm looking to add a "home" button to my Wordpress menu, but I'm having problems. I typically use the following code to do so:

    <a href="<?php echo get_settings('home'); ?>">Home</a>
    However, my menu's code is the following:

    <?php wp_nav_menu( array( 'theme_location' => 'main-navigation', 'menu_id' => 'mainmenu') ); ?>
    How do I integrate the first line into the second? The theme does not allow for me to use another page and set it as the home page in the settings. If that is done, the page template shows up instead of the home page with slider. There is no template for "home" that can be selected for the list when creating the page, so I needed to revert to coding it.

    Any thoughts?

    The homepage template/content isn't the problem. I'm just trying to put a link in the menu for that particular page because it doesn't have it's own menu item.

    I can do the same with the menus settings in the appearance. The problem is also that it will not appear as an active link when you're on that page.

    Just go to design > menu and add your homelink there. What you see in the code is a custom menu which can be generated through design > menu.
