Need stable VPS
Hi all,
I would like to receive your recomendations on a VPS server, I had one on enotch and it has been down for several days now so I'm looking for a replacement.
I want:
* Unmanaged VPS
* Less than US$ 10 per month
* OpenVZ with up to date images or Xen with FreeBSD or Gentoo
* Transparency in support if the provider has an issue (Enotch fail)
* Good support response time
* Stability
* I prioritize memory capacity over CPU cores.
I don't care:
* VPS location
Thanks!

I have seen some negative threads on enotch also on WHT.
What are your FULL VPS specifications? There are providers that offer VPS's under $10, depending on your requirements.
If you are looking for an unmanaged VPS what type of support would you be needing?

Xen 3.2.3 can run FreeBSD perfectly fine (HVM). However I think you might up your budget a bit. Check lowendbox.com and the VPS offer section and contact some of the companies.

I finally decided to go with VPSDeploy. Haven't read anything but so far in this forum.
Plus, they are having some great offers: http://www.lowendbox.com/blog/vpsdep...nvz-in-france/
Thanks for all your help.

review?
here is my one: purchased a level 4 MANAGED version of their Vps.
communication is very slow and often lack in ticket
no ANY useful infos/faq / chat/phone at website
Vps was fast for first 2 weeks...till today...when My Vps ANd VPSDEPLOY site disappeared from the web
try yourself and you'll see they are offline
down started today at 14:30 (gmT +1:00)
no way to recover backups
I don't know if i will be able to have my fata back, but luckily i did a offline backup, so tomorrow, if VPsdeploy will remain Off-teh-market i will have to rebuild anything manually
NEVER DEAL WITH THESE SCAMMERS!

I can confirm that I have the same issue. They didn't reply to my ticket either.
I became from enotch that is match worse it has 15+ days down without saying anything. This is the first day down of VPSdeploy. Botch cases sucks.
Unfortunately, I am getting used to these things.
I think I will start my own VPS company myself... None is giving me a good result.

Who have you tried? Are you using managed or un-managed VPS? If you're looking for support responses you should stop going for unamanged and move to the managed side of the VPS world.
Perhaps start trying a more premium/higher quality provider?
- JaguarPC <--good reviews would use them myself
- KnownHost <--good reviews would use them myself
- BigBrainHost <-- my current host, 0 complaints, great service.
- MiniVPS <--Martin & Simon are very knowledgeable and helpful
- DMZHosting <--Mike is extremely knowledgeable and always around to help customers and non-customers alike.

they CAN'T reply...because all their sites are down :-(
and they have no way to update their customers, so definitely they are not professional people but "day-by-day" hoster...and people like you and me are "dude"
i have just subscribe a Vps with Liquidweb...i feel (and hope) all be different there
any other scammed by VpsDeploy here?

they have 4 clusters down now... I guess they are a lot of new customers affected. They were promoting a lot lately on the web... and now they are loosing their "just starting" reputation quickly.

Vpsdeploy reup....after 27 hours!
that's it
our Vps it is up again after a 27 hours offline: 2-7-h-o-u-r-s!!!
we are starting transfer all our accounts to liquidweb
to the guy at VpsDeploy i want to say just a thing: if you want stay in the hosting market you must improve your proof and contact with customers
2 tweet are NOT ENOUGH to justify a 27 Hours down
we hope all the best for VpsDeploy....but surely without us

VPSdeploy finally restored my VPS. After their large outage my VPS was still down, my ticket not responded and they replied to one of my tweets asking for my IP address.. (a little bit disorganized)
They fixed the problem reinstalling my VPS.(maybe network problem in the VM after the outage and they were not knowledgeable enough to troubleshoot?) Thanks god I didn't have any important data on it yet.. They offer me to send me their latest backup anyway...
MiniVPS is working fine for me so far.
