when creating a new account with cpanel/WHM all went fine, except that the customer is by default created in homes, but i didnt want to do that.
i had set up a particular partition, 'webroot' just for my user accounts so i modified WHM to create new accounts there.

when a user is created and setup for the /homes directory FTP, etc all work fine, but after changing the directory and trying to create new users, even though the directory is created i cant FTP to the new directory. ideas?

my directory permissions were all hosed :doh:
